Overview
The legacy of Albert Bacon Blanton, a pivotal figure in bourbon history, is embodied in this expression. Born in 1881, Blanton began his career at the distillery at sixteen, eventually becoming president in 1921. Under his leadership, the distillery expanded significantly. During his tenure, Colonel Blanton curated a special, limited supply of bourbon, his private reserve, which was handpicked and matured in what is now known as the iconic Warehouse H. Blanton’s namesake bourbon, introduced in 1984, marked a milestone as the first commercially sold single barrel bourbon, a pioneering achievement that continues his enduring influence.
